Mr. Weil works closely with a number of for-profit companies and non-profit organizations located in Washington, D.C. and across the country. He regularly advises and counsels corporate clients on a wide variety of matters, including employment practices and contracts, commercial contracts, non-profit tax issues, non-profit formation, antitrust, insurance and risk management, corporate governance, trademark protection, commercial leases and hotel and meeting contracts.

  In addition to corporate clients, Mr. Weil has over 25 years of experience as a civil trial attorney in state and federal courts in Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland, Connecticut and New York, having worked closely with a number of professional errors and omissions, association professional liability/directors and officers, and employment practices liability insurance carriers on claims made against insurance professionals, employers and non-profit organizations.

Mr. Weil has addressed a number of organizations on practices and procedures intended to avoid employment related claims and insurance as a risk management tool. He is a regular instructor for continuing education programs directed to insurance professionals and executives on the subjects of loss control and professional liability claim prevention.

  Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Weil served as a legislative assistant and counsel on the staffs of several members of the Florida delegation to the United States House of Representatives.
