Mr. Steyer has represented trade associations, professional societies and corporations in his twenty years of practice in Washington, D.C. His principal areas of practice include labor and employment, trade regulations and nonprofit corporation law.


Mr. Steyer’s labor and employment practice includes representing employers and associations in matters involving wage and hour law, wrongful discharge, EEO and unlawful discrimination. He also has extensive experience representing employers in collective bargaining negotiations, union organizing campaigns, unfair labor practices and in actions before the National Labor Relations Board.

As general and special counsel to trade associations and professional societies, he also provides advice in a wide variety of areas including: employment matters, contracts, insurance, trademark and copyright, postal regulations, federal election law, and nonprofit corporation law including drafting and maintaining articles of incorporation and bylaws. Mr. Steyer also has an active legislative practice.
